The Role:

We are seeking an eager and dedicated Human Resources Administrator who is passionate about people to join our HR team. As the HR Administrator, you will have an excellent attention to detail in assisting the team by providing crucial administrative support for the HR Coordinator and Recruitment Officer. Your personable character and drive to succeed will see you successfully ensure compliance within HR functions.


The successful candidate will hold excellent organisational ability, familiarity with HR software and strong communication skills. You will ideally be working towards a HR qualification and understand HR processes. You should be able to work autonomously while actively communicating with the team. You will be able to assist the HR team in all functions of HR. Ultimately, you’ll ensure our HR functions are organized and effectively managed to operate smoothly and maintain compliance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it would be ideal that you possess the following:

  • Proven understanding of HR functions
  • Experience with HR software
  • Friendly and professional communication skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proactive attitude and a drive to develop and grow
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
  • A demonstrable understanding of individuals living with a lived experience of mental illness or other forms of disability.
  • Some understanding of the NDIS

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative assistance within HR functions
  • Managing alerts with HR database and following up staff as required
  • Ensuring staff compliance with up to date documents (e.g. First Aid Certificates, Yellow Cards, Car Registration etc.)
  • Conducting staff file audits
  • Entering staff into payroll and managing updates as required
  • Process documentation as staff come onboard
  • Assist in developing employment contracts
  • Data entry of documents into HR databases
  • Processing NDIS worker screening
  • Assist in managing internal databases

Remuneration and Hours

Beginning at 24 hours per week permanent part time, the role has the long-term aim of growing into a full-time role.


We offer flexible working arrangements to the successful candidate, along with a salary commensurate to approximately $23 per hour in addition to annual and sick leave (subject to skills, experience and qualifications).
