Psychological Wellbeing Consultant – People & Patient Experience
Fixed Term Position
12 months – 30.4 hours (4 days) per week

The Royal Women’s Hospital is Australia’s first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of newborns and women of all ages. Aligned with this commitment, the Women’s in partnership with Southwest Healthcare (SWH) will be implementing a new Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program (the Program). Other partner organisations that will be supported through this initiative include Terang and Mortlake, Timboon and District and Moyne.

Your contribution

Engaging and partnering with stakeholders across the Women’s, SWH and other regional partners, you will oversee the Program and help develop and embed psychological wellbeing initiatives that support clinical and non-clinical staff. You will bring your expertise in psychological wellbeing and/or counselling, project management, communications and stakeholder engagement.

Your duties will include:

  • Leading and project managing the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Program.
  • Implementing internal Mental Health First Aid Training, including providing mentorship for the Mental Health First Aider network.
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive suite of psychological wellbeing resources and initiatives that can be sustainably delivered beyond the life of the initial project.
  • Facilitating monthly sessions to staff on a range of wellbeing related topics
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with key stakeholders to strategically promote and evaluate the Program

About you

If you are enthusiastic about building organisational capability and have a strong track record delivering and facilitating psychological wellbeing initiatives, this role is for you. To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Qualifications in psychology, social work or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing psychological wellbeing projects in large and complex organisations.
  • A proven track record in the creation, development and delivery of psychological wellbeing strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience managing stakeholders at different levels of seniority and across multiple locations.
