About the Opportunity

The People & Culture Manager supports the (currently fully remote) Global HR Manager in all generalist HR activities, with emphasis talent acquisition, day-to-day HR tasks, implementing HR policies and processes across the business. We run an HR function that is for the people in our team. Our People & Culture Manager will partner with all levels of stakeholders to deliver great employee experiences. You’ll also be a gatekeeper for our cultural values together with the rest of the HR team.

This is an execution-focused position in a fast paced environment, so it’s ideal for someone who powers through the day and gets stuff done! Check, check, check.

This role is a full-time role and will be based in our Melbourne HQ.


What you'll do


Daily HR Operations:

  • end-to-end recruitment including full onboarding cycle
  • employee relations
  • employee surveys
  • training and development execution
  • internal communication
  • manage HR vendors
  • payroll and HR administration including contract management for employees and contractors
  • define and implement disciplinary procedures and policies
  • compensation and benefit, labour law, contractor management


Furthermore...

  • Be a point of contact for employee queries across all business locations (The Netherlands, Lithuania, The Philippines, Melbourne and our remote team members all across the Globe)
  • Lead and assist with HR projects next ones coming up are: HRIS implementation, Employee onboarding redesign, Organising employee working on implementing our cultural values and Boosting our employer branding
  • Organize events and initiatives that gets both the local and the remote teams excited for team cohesion, pick up office management duties on an ad-hoc basis
  • Odd tasks: we will have to sometimes just play it by the ear, that’s just the nature of the beast!
 

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 4 years of generalist experience in a similar roles such as P&C Coordinator, P&C Manager, HR Generalist, Business Partner, Recruitment Manager or Advisor roles
  • Recent work experience in a startup or scale-up
  • Extensive experience with talent acquisition for all types and levels of positions
  • Experience with providing end-to-end HR service
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity is a MUST
  • You are a stakeholder management guru: you are assertive, kind and professional while building quality relationships across the team
  • Excellent conflict management skills
  • Flexibility on a personal and professional level
  • Surprisingly good negotiation skills J
  • Flawless written and spoken English

What will put you on top of our shortlist:

  • You have experience in financial services, fintech or payment companies
  • You have done HRIS implementation from scratch before
