Based in Brisbane, the Instructional Designer will work closely with the Learning and Development team and the greater business to support delivery of learning interventions that will add value and drive the competitive advantage. The primary objective of this role is to lead the analysis, design, development, implementation and continual improvement of innovative and customised eLearning and blended learning solutions that enable team members to build the technical knowledge, skills and behaviours to create customer value and deliver on business performance.

This is a role with great variety and autonomy and will encompass but is not limited to;

  • Development of standard templates, design practices and processes to support all learning delivery.
  • Apply best practice instructional design to deliver optimal learning experiences for the end user.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on training material and assessments to ensure and regulatory compliance, process compliance and alignment of messaging to brand.
  • Continually revise and update learning experiences to ensure regulatory compliance, process compliance, alignment of messaging to brand, and act on recommendations for continuous improvement of learning materials.
  • Contribute to L&D strategy discussions and decision-making regarding eLearning and blended learning concepts and innovations.
  • Partner with subject matter experts (SME) to confirm content and achieve learning objectives
  • Respond to Learning and Development enquires in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service and resolution options.
  • Design and develop engaging and cost effective training solutions that positively impact business performance.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

  • Experience in the Learning and Development field.
  • Experience in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of learning.
  • Extensive knowledge of storyboarding.
  • Excellent instructional design skills with proven application in designing learner-driven solutions.
  • Expert in Adobe suite of products including, but not limited to Articulate Storyline360, Rise and/or video editing, multimedia creation, podcasting, etc. is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience working in a Learning Management System.
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft suite including Teams, Sharepoint, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe suite of products including, but not limited to Articulate Storyline360, Rise and/or video editing, multimedia creation, podcasting.
