Workforce Scheduler

We are currently looking for an experienced Workforce Scheduler who has the skills and experience to effectively co-ordinate mobilisation of labour resources for successful project delivery in accordance with client’s expectations and the project objectives for UGL’s Coal Operations, including Field Services.

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

  • Liaising and coordinating with Site Superintendents and Supervisors for project requirements.
  • Allocating of labour resources for various shutdown and project works.
  • End to end mobilisation/site access requirements, from arranging inductions, booking accommodations, etc. whilst adhering to client and company policy and procedures.
  • Communicating relevant job details to employees in a timely manner
  • Ensuring checks are completed for all qualifications against the job requirements, and ensuring all pre-mobilisation checks are completed prior to personnel mobilising to site.
  • Assisting with recruitment, HR processes and reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining suitable documentation on project activities in accordance with UGL O&M QA procedures.
  • Daily maintenance of labour projects in applicable systems (currently P6).
  • Interaction and communication with customers.
  • Responsibility for handling calls to the 24-hour projects phone.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with other UGL departments

To be successful for this position, you will ideally have:
  • Previous experience in resource / workforce deployment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a multi-level administrative position
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic environment and changing priorities and schedules
  • Understanding and prior working knowledge of industry training requirements (Coal Mining)
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience supporting multi-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience in SAP advantageous
  • Site experience considered an advantage
