Human Resources at The University of Queensland (UQ) is responsible for enabling achievement of the University’s strategic ambitions through attracting and developing high performing staff, and delivers high quality advice and support to our clients on all aspects of HR and people matters.

HR is currently undergoing significant transformation to become one of the leading HR functions in Australia, and is building a team of exceptional HR professionals to provide customer focused and contemporary solutions and services to our clients.

About This Opportunity

Our HR Managers (locally known as Managers, HR Client Partnering) are critical in ensuring the strategic and operational goals of a select client group are met, by delivering client-centric HR advisory and partnering services, including;

support and guidance for complex HR issues;
developing stakeholder HR capabilities;
ensuring compliance with policy and/or legislative and regulatory controls;
guiding and mentoring HR Advisors to ensure service delivery.

This opportunity exists within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) HR Client Partnering team, however appointment is to the University and this could mean partnering with a range of different client groups.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus.

Our Ideal Candidate

You'll be highly experienced in the delivery of HR services in a University setting, including maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders and fostering trust in your advice and capabilities. Experience mentoring and/or managing a team of HR professionals will be highly regarded, plus proven expertise in interpreting and applying policy and enterprise agreements, and managing compliance and risk.

You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 8.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $100,264 to $112,583 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

You will be able to take advantage of salary sacrificing options, recreation leave loading (of 17.5%), discounted private health insurance, cheap parking, development programs and many other benefits.
