About Us

Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions. We work with several government agencies to coordinate road, rail, bus and maritime services, always keeping the safety and comfort of our customers at the heart of what we do.

About The Team

Our People and Culture team is planning for and building a workforce with the advanced and specialised skills needed to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. We’re building a unique organisational culture where everyone feels empowered to make a real difference.

This role will see you providing support in the preparation of employment contracts and progression of pre-employment checks for senior and executive employees across Transport.

An integral part of the talent recruitment and management process, you will work closely with Talent Specialists and Hiring Managers to ensure that senior service candidates and new starters are supported between their final interview and their first day on the job. You will prepare and issue employment contracts that comply with legal standards and policy and provide accurate data for recruitment related reports.

What you will be involved in:

  • Initiate and manage mandatory pre-employment checks
  • Prepare and issue employment contracts
  • Ad-hoc support to internal stakeholders for matters such as separations, letters of advice

About You

You’re a highly organised individual who demonstrates experience in a fast paced, high volume environment, and aren’t easily bored by repetitive administration tasks. You likely have a background in or understanding of HR/Recruitment and familiarity with SAP would be highly regarded.

You have exceptional communication and relationship skills with the ability to obtain information and keep relevant stakeholders in the loop. You’re proactive about getting things done, demonstrating resilience and determination rather than frustration when you come up against obstacles.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and look for ways to go above and beyond to support others, not only in your direct team, but across the business. You’re also detail-orientated and take pride in delivering a high standard of work in a deadline driven environment.

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is Transport Service Grade 6 ($92,982 - $102,280) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.

Interested?

Joining Transport for NSW, you’ll have access to a range of unique government benefits in a flexible work environment like no other. If you’re ready to step into this meaningful and rewarding role, we want to hear from you!

To apply for this position, please submit a resume and answer all questions within the online application process.

Applications close: 11:59pm Wednesday 31 March 2021

The way we work is evolving, and we want to enable our people to work in ways that work for them. We’re moving from predominantly office-based work to a more flexible approach that supports working from different locations, including regionally. If you’re interested in working from a location not listed in the job ad, please get in touch with the Talent Specialist to discuss what’s possible.

Our Commitment to Diversity

Great people come from all walks of life. We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible workforce which reflects the community and the customers we serve. We actively promote gender diversity in our workplaces, the employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and the employment of people with a disability.
