We are seeking an experienced People & Development Advisor to join our friendly team in Sydney.

This role is offered as a permanent opportunity on either a full or part-time (4 days per week) basis, ideally starting in mid-April 2021..

About the role

This role has responsibility for delivering the firm's People & Development initiatives and outcomes in line with the Centre's and the firm's business needs and objectives. The role will be challenging, demanding and thoroughly rewarding for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for:

  • Advice and interpretation of policies to partners and staff and on the ground coaching on people related issues;
  • Case managing and advising on performance management matters; complaints and EEO issues;
  • Delivery of annual initiatives such as Performance, Talent and Remuneration
  • Actively supporting any compliance related activities
  • Support with capacity management for practice teams including highlighting issues such as workload inequities, under/over utilisation and workshare and continuing to embed a culture of wellbeing into everything we do
  • Understanding the drivers of team performance and proactively highlighting business needs or issues that may impact performance and client service delivery
  • Being involved in strategic projects related to engaging and retaining our people and improving the employee experience and supporting our People and Culture team in delivering key activities.

What experience are we looking for?

You will be a seasoned practitioner with 10+ years’ experience in a human resources operational client facing role. You will be articulate, confident and demonstrate credibility with passion, influence and enthusiasm. You will have an understanding of the law and legislation affecting human resource management and strong HR skills as they relate to performance management, remuneration reviews and employment conditions in NSW.

Experience gained within legal or professional services would be desirable.
