Part-time People and Culture Specialist in the not for profit sector based in the Northern Suburbs


Your new organisation

Hays are proud to be partnering with Family Planning Tasmania (FPT). FPT is the leading agency in Tasmania working in the area of sexual and reproductive health. It was established in 1973, and is now a state-wide, not-for-profit organisation providing sexual and reproductive health clinic and education services to all Tasmanians.

FPT provides three main sexual and reproductive health doctor/nurse clinics located in Glenorchy, Burnie, and Launceston. This is in addition to outreach clinics at Pulse Glenorchy, Mary Hutchinson Women’s Prison, and Cornerstone Youth Services (Headspace Devonport). FPT also delivers sexual health and relationships education in schools and other community settings.

Your new role

In this role you will report directly to the CEO. Providing both strategic and operational output, your focus will be on delivering contemporary people, change, wellbeing, and cultural solutions. These will be aligned to the objectives in FPT’s Strategic Plan and Human Resource Framework.

Your roles and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement a framework for recruitment, selection, induction, probation, and workforce planning.
  • Provides regular reporting to the CEO and management team on People and Culture matters.
  • Design, develop and introduce FPT-wide wellbeing policy and supporting programs.
  • Support a values-led culture to ensure high levels of engagement across FPT and a focus on excellent client service.
  • Develops and continually reviews contemporary people management policies to underpin FPT as a desired workplace.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a proven track record in a similar role who is aligned to values, mission and strategic direction of FPT. You will be a credible source of Human Resources/ P&C knowledge who can provide timely and accurate advice. Your adaptability and ability to manage competing demands through an outcome focused approach will be to a high standard.

You will also hold tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline.
