With a focus on domestic and regional tourism, this organisation is responsible for the maintenance, promotion, commercialisation and profitability of multiple holiday sites across NSW. They have embarked on a process of business improvement, innovation and commercialisation.


About the Role

As the HSE Business Partner, you will be responsible for managing the organisations’ health safety and environmental framework, driving a safety culture across the business. You will provide expert, practical advice to Operational Leaders whilst delivering initiatives that continually improve the HSE culture and performance. You will support local and on site management to achieve the required change in safety performance through coaching, mentoring and advice and will be a key contributor to the ongoing development and delivery of HSE strategy.

You will also be responsible for but not limited to;
  • Managing HSE response and reporting procedures concerning significant hazards, injuries and incidents to ensure accurate and timely response and reporting
  • Development of safety policies and procedures and organisational HSE framework and systems
  • Analysing available safety data, identify issues and partner with leaders to develop and implement solutions
  • Leading safety legislative requirements
  • Ensuring safety system is utilised and up to date
  • Overseeing, implementing and maintaining Emergency Management Frameworks

There will be travel involved with this position, this role is approximately 20% site based. Initially this may be more as you get to know relevant stakeholders and visit each of the organisation’s sites.

About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety or Environment (or relevant previous experience)
  • Leadership experience in HSE
  • Experience in developing and implementing Emergency Management Processes
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining HSE Management Systems
  • Experience in developing and delivering HSE Training Programs
  • Previous experience in conducting investigations and incident and hazard reporting
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining HSE frameworks
  • Experience in compliance and reporting
  • You have a strong understanding of HSE legislative requirements and obligations
