We are seeking to employ 2 x People and Culture Support Officers to provide timely and professional HR Support to the companies most prized asset; our people.

We are a big small company, employing over 150+ Traffic Controllers that are looked after by a small team of professionals in the Head Office in Hervey Bay.

1 x Full time
1 x Perm Part Time (school hours)

The main responsibilities include:

  • Screening and interviewing new employees
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Posting and monitoring Job Ad’s
  • Shortlisting job ads
  • Create and update user documentation and guidelines.
  • Manage the central HR email and SMS inbox’s and communications in a timely manner
  • Prepare and draft Employment Contracts
  • Drafting HR documents including, letters, reports & policies
  • Prepare monthly reporting for Director
  • Monitor and communicate license and competency expiry dates and assist with renewal preparations
  • Distribute, record and allocate Employee PPE
  • Answering Inbound Phone & Greet walk in reception desk
  • Monitor and Communicate Employee Milestones
  • Communicating HR decisions

You will work closely to support the Managing Director and Bookings and Operations Manager by being the face and go to person for HR. The successful person will be confident, consultative, trustworthy and genuinely thrive working under pressure. They will understand that every decision made has a domino effect so the bigger picture should always be considered.

Skills, Attributes and Highly desired experiences:

  • Previous experience in a HR Administrator role or within Recruitment of Employment Services
  • Proven experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suites, specifically Excel & Google /Gmail
  • Demonstrated experience working with sensitive and confidential information
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and trust within a team
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and pick up processes easily
  • A can-do, positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Proven ability to multi-task and priorities work according to business needs
  • Friendly personality and professionally presented
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong organizational skills, orderly and systematic approach and high level of attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities, self-motivate and operate with a sense of urgency
