Package Value $74,172.30 to $80,503.05 per annum

The Human Resources and Training Coordination Officer position presents an exciting opportunity for applicants to

engage with a diverse workforce across Council’s communities of Ilfracombe, Isisford , Yaraka and Longreach providing

support and advice to employees in the areas of HR, Training/Professional Development and Health and Wellbeing


Council will be accepting applications to fill the permanent full time position until Friday 9 April 2021. Late applications

The Position

The primary role of this position is to facilitate and support key processes and accountabilities within Human Resources

and will be responsible for managing and coordinating staff training, professional development and health and

wellbeing initiatives across all departments. The position will also be required to provide support to the Human

Resources and Workplace Health and Safety Manager with workplace investigations and employment related matters

as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful person will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be able

to multi-task and enjoy maintaining good relationships with employees. Commitment to constantly making

improvements to all HR projects is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience in Human Resources and in managing

and coordinating staff training and professional development would be advantageous.

Salary and Conditions

A cash salary of $67,831.81 - $73,621.63, inclusive of all allowances and leave loading which is classified as a Level 4-5

under the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017 is offered with this position. The

position also offers the following benefits:

Up to 12% Superannuation Contribution

5 Weeks Annual Leave (17.5% Leave Loading)
