The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Superintendent to join our dynamic HR team. You will play an integral part by supporting the team and thrive working in a complex and constantly changing work environment.

Reporting to the Group Manager Human Resources & Services, this onsite position will be responsible for partnering with our leaders at the Karara Mine and Port Operations. This true generalist role will be responsible for the all HR areas including performance management, industrial relations, workforce planning and matters contributing to successful project delivery. Working closely with our operational leaders, you will provide timely and accurate HR advice and guidance.

This position operates on a 5 days on and 2 days off / 4 days on and 3 days off roster.

Key responsibilities;

• Coach leaders to support effective workplace relationships
• Identify HR issues and appropriate interventions
• Provides specialist, HR business partnering to leaders and employees including HR policies and procedures and employee relations.
• Manage IR/ER matters including managing workplace investigations
• Identify and supports improvement initiatives in human resources processes
• Undertakes reporting and data analysis for the wider business

Essential Qualifications and experience;

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or similar
• 8 years plus experience in a HR Superintendent / Senior HR generalist role
• Senior site experience within the Mining / Oil and Gas Sector
• Strong leadership, influencing and organisational skills
• Excellent coaching and facilitation skills with the ability to design and facilitate workshops
• Strong understanding of workplace relations legislation including dealing with the Fair Work Commission
• Proven experience coaching and mentoring HR teams to assist with achieving business objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
