Our client provides the Australian social science research community with access to world-class survey research services and a full range of survey design, data management, analytical and qualitative skills. The mission of the organisation is to undertake research that informs decision-making and advances our understanding of Australian society. We are seeking a generalist Human Resource Advisor to provide HR advice and operational support to employees and managers across the organisation.

The ideal applicant will be a HR generalist who thrives on being involved in all aspects of human resources, excels at developing positive relationships and works with internal and external stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes. The successful candidate will be offered a permanent part time position, with flexibility to work these hours as either 3 full days or 4-5 shorter days.

On a day to day basis duties may include:

  • Provide advisory and operational support across HR activities including, but not limited to, recruitment, onboarding, HR polices, procedures and legislation, performance management, coaching/mentoring and exit processes
  • Conduct HR reporting
  • Update / maintain HR systems
  • Facilitate training coordination
  • Contribute to the review of HR practices and strategies
  • Participate in company HR projects
  • Support Occupational Health, Safety and Wellbeing

The successful candidate will:

· Be passionate about HR and people, open and approachable.

· Thrive in developing strong internal and external relationships to deliver high quality solutions.

· Have strong communication skills with sound knowledge of HR legislation and practice.

· Have a positive, solutions focused and enjoy taking on a broad range of tasks.

· Have relevant HR qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role.

· Enjoy working in a team but be happy and able to work autonomously.
