Naval Group Australia (NGA) is now seeking an additional Human Resources Business Partner to join the Attack Class submarine program, the largest and most ambitious defence acquisition program Australia has ever undertaken. Professional challenges don’t come any bigger than this!

In this newly created opportunity, you’ll report to the Senior Manager, Human Resources and work within a team of both HR generalists and specialists to act as a trusted partner and adviser to a broad portfolio of business units and their leaders. As our workforce enters a period of rapid growth and transformation, you’ll ensure relevant employee law requirements and organizational development initiatives are applied consistently across the business and that employee performance is optimised and continuously developed.

More specifically, you will:
  • Partner with leaders to provide strategic advice and guidance on all operational and strategic HR issues
  • Coach managers in the performance management process to ensure performance is address and the appraisal process is managed consistently
  • Support activities associated with the implementation of change management and cultural change initiatives
  • Lead investigations into employee grievances and performance management issues
  • Monitor the level of HR service requests support HR Services to maintain high levels of customer service
To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • Formal qualifications in a Human Resources field
  • Experience supporting a business during significant organisational change
  • Experience supporting and coaching leaders in a broad range of strategic and operational HR matters
  • Demonstrated experience leading and resolving complex employee investigations
  • High ability to partner and influence with business leaders
