About The Role

The P&C Direct team is responsible for the delivery of common, repeatable and transactional P&C activity which has enterprise-wide reach and is aligned to the functional or corporate strategy.

As the HR Advisor you will be responsible for the execution of a range of P&C cyclical activities and responding to line manager queries. As the first point of contact, HR Advisors ensure the timely, accurate and consistent resolution for P&C queries and support strategic HR Managers across the business in the delivery of the Strategic People Plans.

What You'll Be Doing

  • provide HR policy and procedural advice to line managers;
  • ensure HR processes and policies are robustly applied in a way that ensures business objectives are met and respect and care for team members maintained; and,
  • drive continuous improvement

Good things you'll need

  • Tertiary qualified or demonstrated strong performance in a HR/P&C role
  • Sound knowledge, skill and experience of general HR/P&C practices, systems and methodologies
  • Proven interpersonal and organisational skills, with an ability to get things done well in a timely manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and negotiate outcomes
  • Working knowledge of the Australian human resources framework and best practice

Please note: This position can be located in either Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane
