HR Officer required to join NSW State Government commencing ASAP in Parramatta

  • $43-$47 per hour + Super, depending on experience | 35 hours per week
  • NSW State Government | Parramatta Location
  • ASAP Start | Estimated 2-month temp assignment, with potential to extend

Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community. They are currently seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 2-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.

Working within the Staff Experience Business Unit, you will be required to provide a wide range of HR support services to the People and Culture Team to achieve organisational objectives.

Your duties will include, however, will not be limited to the following;

  • Provide a wide range of HR support services to the People & Culture Team
  • Assist Managers with the coordination of employee extensions
  • Support recruitment coordination
  • Gather and collate information to establish and prepare role changes
  • Work collaboratively with the payroll team to provide accurate responses to leave enquiries
  • Respond to and resolve HR inquiries, ensuring accurate, timely and effective resolution of issues
  • Records and database management, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and integrity
  • Generate and maintain employment contracts, employee files and letters of transfer
  • Gather and collate HR related information, analyse data to identify trends and mitigate risks
  • Assist on any adhoc related projects as required
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements

To secure this great assignment you will have the following –

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or an equivalent field
  • Demonstrated HR Officer experience
  • NSW Public Sector experience desirable
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in MS office suite,
  • Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Thorough analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to commence the assignment and commit to the duration
