The opportunity

We have a key priority to progress our Talent and Culture roadmap as we seek to build QBE for the future and to reflect this have created several new roles across Divisional and Group HR Teams.

An exceptional opportunity has been created within our Global HR Service and Design and Delivery team – reporting into the Group HR Operations Lead for Learning, the role will be instrumental in enabling efficient and effective HR processes through refining and building our HR technology capabilities within our Learning Management System (LMS). You will act as a Subject Matter Expert to advise HR teams on how knowledge, process, and technology work together and suggest improvement opportunities that will ensure user requirements meet the business objectives of HR.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertake the analysis for business problems and translate them into requirements to ensure solution meets business requirements for our LMS

  • Write agreed processes and effectively communicate with relevant teams across the business

  • Identify issues and risks, ensuring that they are appropriately captured raised and actioned

  • Manage the transition of business requirements into implementation (IT and otherwise)

  • Ensuring business requirements are sufficiently detailed to enable further project documentation to be documented including technical designs and testing documentation

  • Work with HR teams to plan, prioritise and schedule Applications Minor Enhancements and Applications Development

  • Ensuring business requirements are managed throughout project and program lifecycle

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with information technology colleagues and business customers to ensure business requirements are well communicated and understood

About You

  • Tertiary qualification(s) or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Solid experience in HR, with 2+ years’ experience in managing Cornerstone Learning Management System

  • Practical experience of continuous improvement methods and process knowledge

  • Experience with reporting functionality of Cornerstone to enable bespoke solutions

  • Experience working in large/complex organisation

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and synthesise information from stakeholder to develop appropriate technical solutions

  • Ability to engage with business representatives at all levels and communicate in a structured manner

  • Ability to build relationships and provide consultative advice to cross-functional teams
