Have a significant impact in transforming how Occupational Health and Safety is delivered across our organisation and play a vital part in how we move forward.

In this brand-new role as Occupational Health Safety Advisor, partner with our Executive Leadership team to develop and execute council's strategy. You will lead and champion a positive safety and wellbeing culture throughout the organisation.

As you partner with the business you will make a real difference to how our people, contractors and stakeholders engage in OHS activities across Maryborough. You will support, develop and mentor our leaders to put OHS at the heart of everything we do.

You will be responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of occupational health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and practices. The OHS advisor will support all Council's service areas in relation to OHS, including providing up-to-date OHS advice, monitoring compliance with OHS requirements, analysing incidents and undertaking safety audits.

Collaborative, you can gain buy-in to deliver positive change. Your outstanding communication skills will be paramount as you influence, engage and mentor. An inspiring and results-focused individual you will motivate your team and share your experience. Naturally, you have a comprehensive understanding of OHS and are keen to build capability in others.
