The Opportunity



In response to Veolia ANZ's continuing growth, the newly created position of National Talent Development Manager will lead a substantial team of professionals working in organisational capability and development, learning and diversity. Reporting directly to the Chief People & Safety Officer for Australia and New Zealand and as a member of the HR Leadership Team, you will have the mandate to create a vision and strategy for how we approach performance and development, succession planning, culture, leadership, diversity, competence and capability. You will lead change programs, consulting, influencing and engaging with the Executive Team and other senior managers in the business.

You will be joining a vibrant, solutions orientated People & Safety team that deliver a high level of service and strategic focus across our business in the fields of Waste, Water, Industrial Services & Energy as well as diverse support functions. You will ensure the company meets its relevant responsibilities and obligations, and supports innovation and continuous improvement.

The role is to be based in our corporate office at Pyrmont or at our NSW office in Rosehill.

You'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business (Human Resources) or equivalent degree or work experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior HR role with proven experience in a medium to large organisation

  • To be a hands-on leader with experience designing Talent Management programs and frameworks and managing Change programs

  • To be passionate about diversity programs, especially women in leadership, women in non-traditional roles/industries and building Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander employment opportunities

  • Ability to help pivot the culture and improve overall effectiveness of the business and teams

  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing skills and an ability to build good working relationships

  • Positive attitude and agility

  • Intermediate skills in the Google Suite and experience in SuccessFactors (desired)

  • A passion for helping the environment
