You will support the business with analytics that enable fact-based decision-making about our most valuable asset, our people.

This is an exciting and challenging role in the emerging field of people analytics. It provides an excellent opportunity to drive projects and deliver quality insights to people and business leadership teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead and support a variety of deliverables and initiatives, including:

  • Translating business challenges and external research into people research projects
  • Sourcing and transforming data for analytics
  • Using statistics and the scientific method to deliver evidence-based, data-driven workforce insights
  • Deliver data-backed insights to inform and track delivery of the colleague strategy and transformation agenda (including simplification and cost savings)
  • Modelling recommendations for people initiatives
  • Communicate insights in simple and engaging ways
  • Building capability and supporting the People division to make sound fact-based decisions
  • Aligning People research tools and methods to Enterprise framework and plans
  • Monitoring external trends and identifying opportunities to enhance people analytics projects, tools, and methods
  • Representing the team at conferences, forums, and events
  • Responding to ad-hoc queries about people data and analytics
  • Maintaining and updating ongoing analytical products (dashboards etc.) as required
  • Taking accountability for ensuring data integrity and accuracy

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Ability to engage with all levels of the business, reporting findings and challenging the status quo
  • Demonstrated experience providing insight on business performance leading to positive change
  • Experience in managing and analysing structured and unstructured data (e.g. R Studio, Python)
  • Experience in applying multivariate statistical methods to people research problems
  • Experience in machine learning and text mining
  • Experience working with ambiguous and complex problems
  • Demonstrated track record in consulting and ability to influence senior stakeholders 
  • Strong presentation and report writing skills, including storytelling with data and insights
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
