The Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) is committed to the delivery of world-leading digital health capabilities. The Agency leads, coordinates, and innovates, in partnership with the health sector, across jurisdictions and with health consumers, to design and deliver seamless, safe and secure digital health services for the better health for all Australians.
The Agency is responsible for the strategic management and governance of the National Digital Health Strategy and the design, delivery and operations of the national digital healthcare system, including the My Health Record system
Reporting to the Director, People and Capability, the Manager HR, Recruitment and Workforce Planning takes responsibility for two key areas: Recruitment and Workforce Planning. The role is central to the development, integration and maintenance of policies, processes, programs, tools, reporting and governance for the team. You will lead a team to provide high quality recruitment services to meet the Agency’s projected workforce needs. You will also lead the development and implementation of formal workforce planning.

Working in a fast paced, agile environment to support the evolving priorities of the Agency, you will be required to exercise a degree of independence, with key accountabilities to include, but not limited to
Operating in a unique environment which engages both APS and non-APS employees, the successful candidate will have a strong background in the delivery of human resources services, providing operational and strategic advice to Managers through the interpretation and application of employment legislation, government policy and Agency people policies.
- Leading the Agency’s Recruitment and Workforce Planning team to mature and streamline processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Leading, planning and managing the development and delivery of HR projects, strategies and initiatives to achieve outcomes in line with the Agency’s Strategic Workforce & People Plan.
- Building capability in the team through coaching, providing feedback, and supporting career development.
- Delivering recruitment advice and services, ensuring practices and processes reflect contemporary recruitment best practice.
- Establishing recruitment metrics, reporting and analysis of trends with recommendations to continuously improve recruitment services.
- Driving the implementation and embedding of the annual Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) cycle.
- Engaging and influencing leaders to take a broad and strategic view of talent for the future; developing effective working relationships with stakeholders to resolve issues, manage expectations, and align workforce planning strategies with business needs.
