JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior HR Consultant is accountable to the Manager HR Support and undertakes work under broad direction in the management and delivery of a significant HR service which targets current and future organisation needs. This requires working closely with line managers and senior managers to identify and achieve shared organisational objectives.

The Senior HR Consultant co-leads in partnering with line managers and employees across SAPOL regarding the implementation of proactive HR strategies and interventions within services across SAPOL in order to drive continuous improvement, performance and accountability and a culture that assures the achievement of the organisational workforce goals and objectives.

The Senior HR Consultant works in collaboration with the HR Support team and other teams within the branch to provide expert advice and support to the line managers and senior managers on a range of human resources matter including but not limited to succession planning, talent management, recruitment and selection, coaching & development, change management, performance management, position management, conflict resolution, grievances, redeployment and employee misconduct.

As a senior member of the HR Support team, the Senior HR Consultant identifies business risks and provides expert advice and suport and advice on complex HR matters to the team.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status.
  • Will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • Intra/interstate travel or out of hours work may be required
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s Performance Management program.

Salary
ASO6 $92,784 - $98,143 per annum.
