About The Role

We have an exciting new role based onsite at Torrens Island for an experienced HR Business Partner to join AGL on a 12 month contract. As a HR Partner, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple business units to deliver on key initiatives and implement major change management programs. This role will largely focus on supporting the team at Torrens Island and be crucial in delivering key HR initiatives such as talent management, cultural engagement and remuneration reviews and provide expert knowledge and support on a range of IR / ER matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the business with People focussed initiatives, including annual people processes and key AGL projects
  • Lead and support cyclical people activities such as talent management (i.e. succession planning) culture activities, & driving high performing teams (i.e. PDR Calibration, remuneration reviews etc)
  • Participate & encourage peer to peer learning among the HR Partners about the BU Client groups to enable team knowledge-sharing and optimisation of core people processes
  • Actively contributing the HR strategy with insights and data from firsthand exposure to end to end employee experience
  • Coaching and mentoring leaders and building leader capability in a sustainable way
  • Provide project management, advice & coaching to a diverse range of people activities including organisational restructure & design, M&A Projects, Employee Engagement & Action Planning support, Talent & Succession Facilitation, & Rem Review Facilitation
  • Support the Strategic Business Partners & leaders with specialist HR guidance and support on a range of IR / ER matters including managing complex / sensitive employee grievances, investigations & Whistle blowing cases


About You

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Experience in a HR Business partnering role, working for a large, unionised organisation ideally in an industrial site based environment
  • Strong background successfully managing complex IR / ER issues
  • An undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in a business discipline (desirable)
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence internal stakeholders
  • Experience working in operational and industrial workplaces
  • Proven track record in complex Project Management
  • Adaptive thinker & problem solver
  • Collaborative style with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Outcome Driven and comfortable in challenging the Status quo
  • Articulate communicator with strong interpersonal skills
