This reputable FMCG organisation is seeking a passionate Senior Safety professional to join their team. As a result of continued growth and success, the successful person will have a real opportunity to make their mark and add value and expertise. The role offers a great lifestyle opportunity in beautiful NSW, close to Orange.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and coordinate at a “hands on” level best practice initiatives in relation to WHS
• Deliver staff training, awareness and continuous improvements
• Ensure compliance across the site in relation to PPE, induction, training and policies
• Enhance policies and procedures in line with legislation and regulations
• Implement initiatives to improve and manage hazards, injuries and near misses
• Develop and facilitate training for all staff
• Build relationships and negotiate with suppliers
• Deliver toolbox talks and promote safety awareness and culture out on the floor
• Provide staff with appropriate training and information
• Keep accurate records and reports
• Monitor, Investigate and Inspect the workplace on a regular basis to ensure compliance of all WHS policies and procedures
• Deliver new safety initiatives and innovation to the role
• Build rapport with staff and management, problem solve and contribute to continuous improvement in the workplace

Successful criteria:

• Proven track record of success in a Safety role
• Experience working in FMCG sector – pharma or food highly regarded
• Committed to continuous improvement
• Excellent rapport building, coaching and training skills
• Well developed communication skills and report writing experience
• Proactive, passionate and professional
• Highly self-motivated, capable of acting autonomously
• Effective problem solver
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and expertise
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications include Cert IV in WHS and Training and Assessment
• Return to Work experience highly regarded
• Commitment to safety and best practice
