What’s the opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to develop and implement HR strategies with a focus on driving employee engagement and improving capability through targeted succession planning together with learning and development programs.

This role will also be responsible for advising and supporting the business on all aspects of HR and IR across multiple sites nationally. This role is responsible for driving a mix of strategic and operational HR priorities and is an integral team member of both the AutoNexus Senior Leadership Team and the Inchcape HR team.

Reporting to the General Manager, Human Resources, your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop and implement the IR strategy including establishing and maintaining a co-operative relationship with the Union, strategy planning and negotiation of enterprise agreements for all sites nationally.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and ethical standards and provide advice on all employment legislative matters, HR matters, policy interpretation, enterprise agreements and modern awards application and interpretation.
  • Manage the employee life cycle activities including Drive5 performance management, talent review, succession planning, salary review, annual bonus and commission incentives process.
  • Work with the IAL Talent Acquisition team to ensure the recruitment process is efficient and effective to meet the service delivery requirements of the business.
  • Together with the Managing Director, drive continuous improvement by taking a leadership role in the development of key people initiatives to build capability.
  • Provide considered advice and coaching to the Senior Leadership team, Managers and Supervisors on leading and managing our employees.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to identify and develop people solutions and processes that are aligned to the business meeting its objectives.
  • Manage employee relations matters including managing complex investigations with a focus on fair, compliant and consistent processes.
  • Support and drive activities of the wellness program and initiatives for all employees.

To Be Successful In The Role, You Will
  • 5+ years HR and IR generalist experience with a customer centric approach in all your dealings
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders with excellent communication skills
  • Have a strong demonstrated experience in collaborating and partnering with the business while leading from the front with focus on people management
  • Experience in driving strategic initiatives with beneficial business outcomes
  • Solid Knowledge of IR legislation, employment law, enterprise agreements and modern awards with the ability to mitigate risk for the business
  • Have the ability to travel interstate as required
