Leading employee relations across Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and China, you will coach a team of 4 to achieve high performance and develop their own careers. You will ensure the team provides expert advice and support to transformational projects at a local and global level, build our manager’s capability and lead the improvement of efficiencies and processes.

Responsible for all employee matters across multiple businesses with 1700 employees, you will work with internal customers and stakeholders across multiple geographies and time zones. You will also act as the main People team contact person for the regional business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the global ER strategy and approach through determining a globally consistent offering and continuously improving our service and processes
  • Ensure delivery of specialist advice and coaching to managers and employees
  • Own ER related policies and provide advice and input to broader People policies to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead, coach and develop the ER team
  • Partner with legal and external advisors to solve complex ER issues and keep abreast of regulatory changes to ensure these are effectively implemented into company policies and procedures
  • Be the key lead for all business transformation / change initiatives

To be successful, you will need

  • Relevant professional HR qualification and/or significant experience managing employee relations
  • Knowledge of employment law combined with implementation experience, ideally in Asia Pacific region
  • Proven coaching and team management experience
  • Superior stakeholder engagement and relationship building
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic vision
  • Ability to analyse problems with a solutions lens
