Are you a HR Generalist ‘all-rounder’? Do you like working across multiple HR disciplines daily? Are you a multi-tasker? Are you proactive? Are you a team player?

The Victorian Ombudsman (VO) is currently seeking applications from experienced HR generalists to fill the role of VPS 5.2 Senior People & Culture Business Partner. 

Position details:

  • VPS 5.2 classification
  • $111,736 - $122,348 (VPS Enterprise Agreement 2020
  • 2 year fixed-term role available (1 FTE)

Who we are: 

We're the Victorian Ombudsman. Our office provides a free, independent, accessible and impartial service to all Victorians. Our purpose is to ensure fairness for Victorians in their dealings with the public sector, to improve public administration and to foster confidence in the integrity of the sector.

You will bring to this opportunity a mix of experience in:

  • Knowledge and practical working experience in contemporary HR theory and practice, especially in the areas of Generalist advice, Business Partnering, Recruitment, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organisational Development and HR Reporting
  • Experience in using SAP SuccessFactors HR system, or equivalent of a modern HR system
  • Proactively delivering sound and contemporary HR advice and best practice methods
  • Multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
