About the team: The Aspect People team partner with the organisation to deliver effective people management solutions that add value and respond to changing business needs.

About the role: Due to internal promotion, we have an opportunity for someone looking to start their career in human resources to join us. Using your administrative and organisation skills, you will provide support to the recruitment function and ensure new and existing Aspect employees are compliant in the various required background checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the posting of recruitment advertisements and with the administration of Aspect's e-recruitment system
  • Initiate relevant background checks for candidates
  • Maintain compliance of all background checks for current employees such as the national police check, state-based working with children checks and NDIS worker screening checks
  • Maintain the Aspect website careers page and the Recruitment team Intranet pages with up to date information and resources
  • Track employee referrals and arrange referral payments
  • Monitor and respond to queries in the careers and volunteer inboxes
  • Process invoices for approval in the expense manager system

Skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications (specifically MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Attention to detail & high level of accuracy
  • Skilled and systematic organiser
  • The ability to follow process and to meet deadlines
  • Desire to learn new systems
  • The ability to identify and suggest opportunities for improvement in how the work is done (an interest in process improvement)
  • Solutions-focused approach to addressing challenges (problem-solving)


  • Lived experience of Autism, other neurodivergence and/or disability
  • Administration experience, ideally in a human resources, education or compliance environment
  • Experience using a recruitment management system
  • Tertiary studies in human resources or business
  • Exposure to or interest in developing an inclusive workplace and/or autism-friendly environment

A National Police Check clearance is a requirement and Aspect will arrange this.
