JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Australia & Asia to join our Human Resources team, based in any of our Australian offices (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth). In this role, you will work closely with the Global Head of D&I to implement and deliver the D&I strategy for Australia and Asia in line with the firm's strategic objectives.


As D&I Manager, you will;


  • Work closely with the Practice Groups and HR Business Partners in Australia and Asia to design and deliver high performing and high impact diversity and inclusion programmes, including in relation to: inclusive leadership skills, systemic ways of counteracting unconscious bias, sponsorship of top talent, and mental health and wellbeing;
  • Produce and present regular communications on our diversity and inclusion programmes to promote understanding, show transparency and celebrate achievements, ensuring a diverse range of role models are showcased both internally and externally;
  • Provide leadership to the Chairs and partner sponsors of our diversity networks and committees in Australia and Asia;
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of our D&I programme and report on progress to the Australia and Asia regional executives;
  • Contribute to the on-going development and execution of the D&I strategy;
  • Implement global D&I initiatives in the Asia-Pac region, for example, 10 Actions for Change;
  • Maintain existing Benchmarking and Awards submissions and mandatory government reporting (e.g. WGEA) for Asia-Pac and identify new opportunities to increase our profile and recognition in the market;
  • Respond to client tenders and pitches, ensuring that the content positions HSF as a leader in D&I;
  • Build and maintain relations with Diversity Membership Partners and client organisations;
  • Work closely with HR colleagues and advise on the key people processes relevant to the D&I agenda.


Wellbeing

  • Support the delivery of a global wellbeing programme;
  • Attend Resilience@Law meetings, learning from what other firms are doing in relation to wellbeing and sharing best practice;
  • Build and manage relations with partner organisations in the Wellbeing space in Australia and Asia;
  • Help identify and manage collaborations with clients in this area, linking with CRMs and CRPs.


To be successful in this role, you will have;


  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in diversity and inclusion, preferably within a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying opportunities, building client relationships and networks internally and externally.
  • Some experience with project management and diversity benchmarking processes.
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and project administration skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and strong work ethic with a willingness to accept ownership of and follow up on tasks without prompting.
  • Ability to confidently communicate and work with partners, managers, staff and clients at all levels.
  • High level of personal integrity, initiative and collegiality.
