The Role

Our Canberra People and Development team is seeking a Co-ordinator on a permanent basis, reporting to the People and Development Manager, Canberra. This role will be an integral part of the People Connect team which provides generalist support to employees and Partners of the firm.

This role will be working closely with the Canberra People and Development Consultant and Manager across People Connect (HR Administration) and business partnering (HR Generalist) teams. Additionally you will be responsible for supporting local office clerk and graduate recruitment campaigns and programs in line with the national strategy.

A passionate, self-motivated professional with skills and experience in administration, Excel and reporting are highly desirable. You will be articulate and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a positive, proactive team player.

Responsibilities will include:
Full cycle HR Administration support (People Connect) for Canberra

Assist managing the national clerk and graduate recruitment processes.

Assist managing campus relationships and sponsorship.

Oversee and attend campus presentations and other events including careers fairs and networking events to promote the Clayton Utz brand and programs.

Attend interviews for lateral recruitment roles.

Assist with orientation process for new starters.

Assist managing employee life cycle administration.

Support P&D Consultant and P&D Manager with execution of people strategy

Support Partners with management of less complex people matters

Support P&D Consultant and Manager with cyclical P&D activities

Skills & Experience:
Degree or TAFE qualified in Human Resources or alike (advantageous)

Experience in a Human Resource Co-ordinator or Administrator (advantageous).

Strong customer service mindset

Excellent administration and organisational skills

Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

Excel and Microsoft Office suite skills

Experience using an HRIS such as Workday (advantageous)

Proven abilities in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

Experience working within the legal profession or professional services industry (advantageous)

The People and Development (P&D) team

With a presence in each of our offices, the national P&D team forms part of our Business Advisory Services department. The P&D team provides strategic business partnering support to the business on P&D issues, driving and delivering a range of initiatives to ensure that Clayton Utz is a great place to work.
