Due to continued growth we are looking to engage a qualified HSE & Food Safety Advisor to join our team.
Easternwell are currently looking to engage a dynamic and energetic HSE & Food Safety Advisor to join there well-established Health & safety team, the successful applicant will be on 10 days on 4 days off roster working across the Easternwell portfolio of business in a full time position. As the HSE & Food Safety Advisor you will be responsible for assisting supervisors and Chefs in the application of the company’s HSE Management system (HSEMS) and deliver onsite training at designated workplaces.
* Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and report on the implementation of and compliance to the Easternwell HSEMS, legislation and standards at site level, using approved auditing tools (Effective Assurance, Critical Process Confirmations, Operational Process Confirmations, Baseline, WI/JSO) for allocated workplaces.
* Communicate audit findings with stakeholders.
* Conduct Alcohol and Drug testing
* Prepare, communicate and educate employees SHEQ and food safety related matters
* Assist the Site Manager and workers to identify and control hazards and risks on-site.
* Assist in the development, recording and implementation of corrective actions to manage hazards and risks in the workplace.
* Assist Site Managers to develop, implement and monitor continuous improvement plans to overcome workplace deficiencies onsite or improve HSEF strategies.
* Support the review process of SOPs with designated sites and work groups.
* Provide support to Site Managers with initial incident response, management and reporting in accordance with the Easternwell Incident Management procedure
* Assist on-site, as directed by the SHEQ Manager in the conduct of incident investigations, reporting and communicate outcomes in accordance with the Easternwell Incident Management procedure
* Provide medical assistance to injured personnel in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Provide advice to the Site Manager to monitor the wellbeing of site personnel (Health and Hygiene).
* Undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by the SHEQ Manager.
* Ensure personal training qualifications are maintained in accordance with their training matrix
* Deliver established training packages and deliver to staff
* Develop learning and teaching resources
* Develop and utilise a range of teaching and learning strategies to meet the varying needs of the students in a wide variety of training environments.

To be successful you will have the following;
* Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety Management
* Certificate IV Training and Assessment
* Internal Audit certificate
* Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret procedures to suit plant and equipment and the working environment based on risk management processes and principles
* Sound understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and the ability to navigate the safety management system
* Current C Class licence – Manual
* Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills
* Ability to understand and implement quality assurance, HSE, equal employment opportunity, and anti-discrimination practices in the workplace
* Ability to Pass a full medical and drugs and alcohol
* Ability to obtain an Australian Federal Police Check
