As a Workforce Operations team, we maximise resource sharing and enable the delivery of PwC to our clients through line of service and cross line of service staffing, forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives and defined projects to improve the operation of our business.

The Senior Manager role encompasses a strategic role; leading the team to proactively manage demand, supply and capability by deploying staff on engagements, while focusing on profitability, engagement metrics and client service delivery. This will drive impactful change in the business.


 

As a Senior Manager, Workforce Operations in our Financial Advisory team your impact will be seen by:

  • Owning the strategy and operations around Workforce Operations, helping shape and influence the efficiency and effectiveness of workforce operations, from process improvement to workforce utilisation.
  • Partnering with Finance and the People team to develop and execute the workforce strategy.
  • Developing strong relationships with our Partners and Directors to understand their respective needs. You will be involved in strategic resourcing by optimising headcount, managing/overseeing joiners, leavers and secondments, influencing uplift in utilisation and being aware of the impact on employee engagement.
  • Championing continuous improvement in the area of workforce planning and resource management, leading a team to partner with the business to map business processes, articulate business pressure points and designing a solution that gave better insights to leaders in real time.
  • Influencing leadership team to develop, implement and monitor workforce planning and performance metrics across financial advisory.

 About you 

You have a background in workforce deployment management, resourcing or project management experience, within a corporate/professional services environment. You are skilled in influencing and negotiating with the ability to assert a point of view, including with senior stakeholders coupled with the ability to learn quickly in a fast moving environment, constantly re prioritising, multi-tasking and managing a significant workload under pressure and hold an understanding of business acumen.
  • Strong Relationship Management with demonstrable experience in stakeholder management at the senior level
  • A highly resilient individual; flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment while managing conflicting priorities
  • Possessing a strong skills mix of Program Management with multi disciplined people management, quality control, strategic process improvement, strategic planning, analytics and operations and a workforce utilisation background.
  • An analytical and inquisitive mind, with the ability to identify and spot trends and behaviour. WIth demonstrated experience providing strong business analytics, and delivering on projects of all sizes. You will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are able to roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.
