About the role:

This is not just a standard People and Culture position. This full-time, hands on role is based at our Proserpine prawn farm and production facility and reports to the National People and Culture Manager. You will be part of an awesome, fast paced team who are purposefully and successfully driving our people towards a better tomorrow. The initial key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage a small P&C team located in Proserpine, with multi-site responsibility including Yamba and Mission Beach
  • Demonstrate best practice HR and delivery of the team strategy and operational plans
  • Deliver P&C initiatives including leadership development and talent management
  • Lead employee relations matters including EBA negotiations and build a positive employee relations climate
  • Drive workforce planning to ensure the provision of a suitably skilled workforce for current and future workforce needs
  • Work with the broader P&C team to ensure consistency across all P&C practices
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive workplace culture whilst continuing to embed our company values
  • Ensure compliance and consistent application of HR policies, procedures & processes
  • Improve existing systems and processes for delivery of best practice HR
