What You Will Be Doing
As a key member of the Workforce Health and Safety team, the Workforce Safety and Injury Management Consultant is responsible for providing cost effective, professional and compassionate workers compensation claims services through providing expert advice and working in collaboration with key stakeholders to influence and drive claims management and effective and timely return to work strategies.
In addition, the Workforce Safety and Injury Management Consultant will is ensure a high standard of safety, health and wellbeing for the entire workforce including contractors and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
•Provide technical experience to deliver end to end management of a portfolio of claims in order to drive the claims management process and ensure optimal outcomes for both the staff member and Peninsula Health
•Ensure Occupational Health and Safety and Injury Management systems, processes and policies are complied with and aligned with current legislation.
•Assist to create a work environment which is safe to staff and consumers, without risk to health and is reflective of best practise standards.
What You Need
• WorkSafe ‘Role of the Return to Work Co-ordinator’ certificate or demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in the management of Worker’s Compensation Claims
• Demonstrated ability to work in a consultative manner with key stakeholders and proactively driving projects and programs
• Demonstrated understanding and working application of Occupational Health and Safety and WorkCover legislation
• Experience in delivering Occupational Health and Safety services within an Organisation
• Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
