Role Summary

AFP appointees contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

Role Description & Responsibilities

The position sits within the ACT Policing Human Resources portfolio and provides assistance in a range of HR related services to support ACT Policing outcomes.

The responsibilities may include:
developing and managing relationships with relevant stakeholders
contributing to the appropriate allocation of resources through the provision of ACT Policing members;
providing accurate and timely advice and solutions in relation to AFP employment framework to ACT Policing Executive, ACT Policing Business Area Superintendents and Coordinators, Inspectors and Team Leaders, and ACT Policing employees;
assisting with the identification and implementation of HR strategies and policies;
coordinating and facilitating training for ACT Policing members;
updating and maintaining HR systems; and
assisting with other HR projects and administrative tasks as required.

A merit pool will be created from this process for anticipated on-going and non-ongoing vacancies.

Essential Requirements
Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) - A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
Additional Requirements
Demonstrated experience working in a highly transactional role
Demonstrated experience in Human Resource Management
HR qualifications are highly desirable
Experience in a rostering role is highly desirable

Communicating and working effectively with other people.
Organising your work, making sound decisions and achieving outcomes
