We currently have an opportunity for a HSE Manager, Retail to join our Commercial Property team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. The role will be required to provide Leadership, HSE implementation support and direction to the Retail business in accordance with Mirvac's HSE Policies and Management Systems ensuring the Retail business is aligned to Commercial Property and Group Vision and Strategy.

In addition, the individual will be relied upon to create a work environment and culture that strives for high performance and contribute to the Retail Division's HSE performance ensuring that Mirvac's core values are preserved whilst promoting a strong professional image. Provide advice and guidance on HSE matters across the Retail business nationally.. Provide support to the Portfolio Managers and their teams by establishing a cohesive and focused approach ensuring HSE is integrated into all Retail business decisions.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

· Support the HSE strategic directions as directed by the National HSE Manager, Mirvac Group HSE Strategic Plan and HSE Management System

· Monitor implementation of the Mirvac Group HSE Management System relating to the business unit, procedures and work practices to manage compliance with legislation, regulations and codes of practice or standards and Mirvac Group HSE objectives and targets

· Prepare the monthly HSE reports

· Monitor legislative change relevant to the business unit or region and disseminate this information through monthly reporting and other workplace consultative arrangements

· Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of a standardised Group HSE Management System and related (business unit specific) documents

· Maintain and manage internal process across the business consistent with AS/NZS 4801, AS/NZS ISO 14001 and 45001 and OHSAS 18001

· Conduct regular internal audits of workplaces at intervals as defined by the business unit and report on HSE management performance

· Compile the Audit Summary of HSE Findings report and identify trends for improvement

· Conduct investigations of major incidents and issue preliminary reports within 24 hrs

· Critical Incident reporting and main point of contact prior to escalating to National HSE Manager and Retail senior management

· Co-ordinate learning and development outcomes to enable staff to competently undertake their HSE responsibilities

· Prepare/draft contractor management solutions/procedures when required

· Provide general support to the business unit staff in matters relating to HSE including safe design review

· Implement HSE improvement programs in consultation with key stakeholders

· In consultation with the business unit Manager and any nominated workplace or regional return to work coordinator undertake coordination of injury management activities relating to:

o Workers Compensation claims and regular claims reviews;

o Return to work and rehabilitation programs.

To be successful in this position you will bring:

· 8+ years' experience in a HSE management position overseeing and promoting HSE requirements

· Health, Safety and Environment Qualifications or similar

· Formal HSE management system audit qualifications recognised by a national body will be highly regarded

· A comprehensive understanding of the HSE legislative frameworks across all jurisdictions and being able to communicate legislative obligations requirements in simple terms

· Formal Rehabilitation and Return to work Coordinator Qualifications

· Knowledge of B.C.A and applicable Australian Standards

· Current Motor Vehicle Driver's License
