The People and Culture Department provides strategic and operational advice to the organisation on people management. We adopt a holistic approach where the team works in partnership to provide organisational development, culture and engagement, diversity and inclusion, organisational wellbeing, workforce planning, safety and wellbeing, risk management, employee relations, recruitment and learning and development.

About the role

The Diversity and Inclusion Advisor will deliver Council’s vision of diversity and inclusion for all employees and to reflect the diverse community it services.
The role will provide high level project management and operations to oversee the implementation of Banyule’s Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Plan and the implementation of the Gender Equality Act.

To be successful you will need

Related tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in diversity and inclusion and gender equity
Proven experience in gender equality field, social services and / or organisational development
Experience in the development and implementation of a range of programs within designated timeframes
Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Ability to educate and advocate on social disadvantage and other diversity and access issues

Benefits

Salary range $96,444.07 to $107,598.98 plus super
Permanent full time, 38 hours per week plus monthly RDO
