Learning & Development Advisor

Role Overview:
The Learning & Development Advisor works with organisational units on matters of training and career development

while providing excellent service to our people that is courteous, efficient and enhances the Corporation’s employee

experience. This role requires the capacity to liaise and work with external agencies in pursuit of building upon the diverse

and inclusive culture of our workforce through training and development activities.

to the Manager People & Culture this position plays a key role in achieving these ambitions through:

  • Organising training, learning and development of our people to support the sustainable delivery of the
Corporations core functions.

  • Influencing excellence within the organisation for the continuous improvement of the Corporation’s human
resources functions for training delivery and learning and development activities.

  • Provide challenging, positive and constructive input to the People & Culture Team.
You get to be accountable for:
  • Organising the development, delivery and evaluation of staff learning and development programs in accordance
with the annual corporate training plan

  • Ensure mandatory licences and training for staff remain current and in alignment with relevant legislation, codes of
practice and corporate policies and procedures.

  • Administration of the corporation’s online Learning Management System
  • Providing training and learning and development services that promote the diverse and inclusive culture of the
Corporation and support the Corporation’s ambition for being an irresistible employer and supports the

sustainability of service delivery for our communities.

  • Provision of timely information, advice and support to our people in relation to the requirements of the
Corporation’s training needs analysis and skills matrix.

  • Collate data to support the provision of a range of reports that assists with monitoring the human resource
performance of the Corporation.

  • Assisting with the delivery of corporate induction programs
  • Assisting with delivery of staff health and wellbeing programs and activities
  • Success Profile - Learning & Development Advisor
  • Making judgements and decisions in accordance with the highest professional standards and the Corporation’s
policies and procedures.

  • Decisions and actions may have a significant effect on the reputation of , but are usually subject to
review by more senior employees.

Qualifications & Credentials for Success are:
Significant experience in the area of training and development or suitable qualification in Human Resources

Experience in coordinating learning and development activities and implementing training programs

Excellent communication and administrative skills with a strong attention to detail

An understanding of the Water Industry is desirable.

Current drivers licence.
