About the Position

The Emeco HR Team is seeking a dynamic HR Advisor to join our team supporting our Pit N Portal business. In this widely varied, true generalist role you will have an opportunity to utilise your HR experience in a variety of areas including recruitment, employee mobilisation, employee relations, HRIS, training management and workforce planning.

This position is responsible for providing day to day support across all HR functions for the region.

Working closely with the regional Management teams and you will be required to:

Assess and interpret employee contractual terms and conditions including relevant Awards and rosters,;
Support end to end recruitment and on boarding;
Provide coaching and guidance at all levels on HR and ER related matters;
Regular travel to Emeco branches and sites;
Manage and coordinate training activities and initiatives;
Assist in maintaining employee records and training data using various information systems (Chris21, Taleo and RapidInduct);
Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse and apply HR metrics to underpin strong decision making;
Contribute to all aspects of HR policy and process improvements; and
Provision of a high standard of HR service delivery to the specific needs of the regions and greater business.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity you will be able to demonstrate:

Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field;
Knowledge and experience in a generalist HR capacity, preferably with some experience within the mining, resources or manufacturing sector;
Strong communication skills (oral and written) and the confidence to work with all levels;
Effective problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills and can do attitude;
Experience interpreting Awards and the Australian Fair Work Act;
Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure with conflicting priorities;
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word) and experience with HR information systems and tools;
Able to work as part of a team and build inter-team effectiveness;
Hands on, can do attitude; and
Initiative, ownership, integrity and confidence.
