An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Payroll Advisor to join our HR Shared Services team.


Based at the Repatriation Campus of Austin Health, the HR Shared Services department is a well-regarded enablement function, consisting of teams that provide accurate and efficient HR services across the organisation.


With a focus on service excellence and customer-centricity, the HRSS teams work collaboratively together and with the broader People & Culture function to support employees and managers through the employee life cycle.


Details of position/position requirements


Being a part of a busy Payroll Team, we are looking for a Payroll Advisor to assist with providing our employees and managers with support with accurate and timely processing of employees pay requests, timesheets and shifts on our rostering system.


To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:



  • Sound knowledge of payroll processing through 2+ years’ experience in a similar role

  • Hold strong knowledge of payroll software; Chris21, Kronos

  • Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements (EA’s)

  • Enjoy problem solving and dealing with complex queries

  • Ability to work well autonomously as well as a part of a team

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a busy and demanding environment
