The Role

Our business was founded with the intent to focus on ‘long game’, relationship-based recruitment, so our expert consultants have a reputation for understanding the dynamics of the roles and industries in which they specialise. We act as ‘talent magnets’ for the most dynamic and high potential candidates in the market.

As a Manager, you will provide a highly customer-centric service, with a genuine desire to have a positive impact on both your team, and the individuals we engage. The focus is on helping our clients build successful, sustainable businesses via the recruitment of exceptional talent.


  • Lead a team of dedicated consultants, providing them with learning and development opportunities, supporting career growth
  • Full accountability for business unit P&L, ensuring all growth opportunities are maximised
  • Increasing brand presence and share across the NSW market
  • Successfully developing and managing a profitable portfolio of clients through the placement of high-quality talent
  • 360o consulting assignments, including both retained and contingent processes
  • Regular proactive and planned communication and client engagement to nurture and grow accounts
  • Strategic business development
  • Uncovering and sharing cross functional and interstate referrals to support business-wide growth
  • Developing and executing business plans aligned to company strategy
  • Professional and ethical candidate management to the highest service/quality standards


To be successful in this role, you will have 5+ years recruitment experience within an agency environment, with demonstrated leadership accountability. You will possess the innate ability to build strong internal and external networks.

Driven, ambitious, and with the desire to continuously learn and grow professionally and personally, you possess a well-developed commercial acumen and are solutions-focused. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role, as is the ability to be forward thinking with the ability to innovate in a rapidly changing market.

Six Degrees values life experience, as such volunteer work, community engagement, international or industry experience will be well regarded.
