About the Company:
Our client is a value based organisation in disability services here to improve the life of others. They are looking for an Employee Performance Officer to join their team ASAP! Work for a company that makes a difference in the community!

About the Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees and clients by planning and conducting efficient and objective investigations including serious employee misconduct investigations in line with organisational policy, law & legislative standards, principles of natural justice and procedural fairness. This role also involves providing training and mentoring across the People and Safety Business Unit to ensure best practice processes and initiatives are developed and consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities included:
Liaising with SAPOL and other law enforcement bodies and may be required to liaise with State Government Agencies, external contractors, and other external parties.
Planning, coordinating, administering, conducting, and reviewing investigations to ensure compliance is maintained with policies and procedures.
Working closely with Executives, Senior Managers, Human Resources, Employee Relations, WHS Specialists and other relevant stakeholders
Leading and working collaboratively and in partnership with other Managers and staff within the People and Safety Business Unit.
Developing and promoting strategies for the identification, prevention, and early intervention of employee relations issues.
Identifying and reporting recommendations to guide and assist the development and review of internal standards aimed at preventing and/or minimising workplace misconduct.
Providing regular reporting of investigation activities and progress to the Manager, People Experience.

About You:
You are significantly experienced in undertaking investigations, preferably including serious employee misconduct and involving vulnerable persons (children, aged, disabled)
Demonstrated experience in employee and industrial relations
Able to address investigations that are free from bias and fair.
Able to handle investigations being met by internal and external scrutiny
Experienced in applying investigative and cognitive interviewing techniques
Have successfully completed a tertiary qualification in management, business, human resource management or employee relations
Qualifications in undertaking investigations EG: Cert IV in Government (investigation) or equivalent desired but not essential
National NDIS Worker Screening required (or be willing and able to obtain)
