About us

We pride ourselves on providing specialised and quality services to our clients, ensuring that projects are completed on-time and within budget. The safety of our workforce is our priority.

The opportunity

Minprovise is experiencing a rapid period of growth and as such, have a rare and exciting and opportunity available for an energetic HR and Recruitment extraordinaire to join our awesome Human Resources Team.

The successful applicant will be required to hit the ground running and get straight into the nitty-gritty stuff with a focus on trades recruitment, performance management, grievance disputes and everything in between. This blended role will be a combination of recruitment and generalist HR just to mix up a little and to keep you on your toes!

Based at our comfy, well-equipped office (with an excellent coffee machine) in Welshpool, this role is offered on a permanent basis providing support to our Workshop, Coastal Services and Corrosion Controls Teams. Due to the location of some of our remote teams, occasional short-visits and travel to Karratha and Port Hedland will be in the mix.

Our ideal newest recruit must be confident in their decision making and relations with all walks of life such as tradies and their Supervisors, and be able to build rapport at all levels across a diverse workforce. They're not afraid of a robust technical discussion and most importantly, they have fun while they work!

You can expect the following on a regular day on the job:

  • End to end recruitment from debating a job brief, advertising, talent sourcing, and interviewing through to pre-employment activities, including drafting offers and finalising on-boarding. You advise on the best way to attract the best people for the job and retain them. Our style of recruiting is not paper-pushing!
  • Conducting grievance and disciplinary investigations, from start to finish, assisting to manage people risks well.
  • Providing accurate information and advice to stakeholders on areas of employee relations through the interpretation and development of HR policies, programs and practices in line with current employment legislation.
  • Proactively promoting the Minprovise values, vision and purpose.

Reasons you'll fit right in:

  • Demonstrated experience within a fast-paced heavy industry environment is a must!
  • You know Microsoft Office inside out and take pride in keeping your records up to date. If you know Fastrack, it’s a huge plus, but not essential.
  • You are not afraid of putting your ideas forward, in respectful team debates.
  • You read people well, so you are confident in your decision making.
  • You are able to multitask and juggle moving priorities.
  • You're invested in further developing and maintaining our incredible organisational culture.

More about the job:

Initially, this is a 6-month contract opportunity, with a view to permanency for the right person. You will show us that you are the right person if you are able to help us work toward achieving recognition as an 'employer of choice'.

Apart from that, it's a standard Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, with flexibility so long as the job gets done. Pretty cruisy roster really.

What is on offer:

We offer the standard things that you would expect, including competitive remuneration and career growth opportunities. What you may not expect, is that we have a newly renovated office situated in Welshpool (just off Kewdale Road), free parking, a fully equipped kitchen with a café quality coffee machine, nibblies for employees (including regular morning tea’s and other treats), an awesome workplace culture and a growing employee benefits offering.

To apply, click the apply button and you will be directed through the application process. We will commence interviews as soon as we see a resume that we like.

Applicants who do not have legitimate rights to work in Australia will not be considered for this opportunity. We are expecting our advert to be popular, so we will not be accepting agency referrals at this time.
