Inclusion Outreach Coaching Initiative: This is a new system initiative delivered within the broader Disability Inclusion reform program. The initiative will support mainstream schools to implement inclusive practices with support and expertise from Inclusion Outreach Learning Specialists through provision of coaching, collaboration, professional learning and support. The initiative will have a strong focus on improving school outcomes, through provision of coaching in classroom-based instruction and pedagogical feedback and support.

The initiative will support mainstream schools to implement inclusive practices with support and expertise from Inclusion Outreach Learning Specialists through provision of coaching, collaboration, professional learning and support. The initiative will have a strong focus on improving school outcomes, through provision of coaching in classroom-based instruction and pedagogical feedback and support.

The Inclusion Outreach Coaching, State-wide Practitioner will be situated in the Inclusion Outreach Coaching Unit within the Inclusive Education Professional Practice (IEPP) Branch and will be based at 2 Treasury Place. The State-wide Practitioner will have the strategic oversight and leadership of a small team of regional coordinators. The team will coordinate state-wide cohesion in provision of inclusive education professional learning and capability support to schools and coaching workforces.

The State-wide Practitioner will play a key leadership role in the:

Establishment of an effective state-wide referral management system for provision of inclusive education professional learning and capability supports
Coordination of professional learning and coaching opportunities to schools and supporting workforces
Facilitation of collaborations between a range of educational settings, including using innovative technologies to connect hard to reach schools
Promotion of collaborative partnerships between coaching workforce and school improvement teams to provide support to schools using a ‘Team Around the School' approach
Implementation and evaluation of the whole-school and in-class coaching support provided to schools by Inclusion Outreach Learning Specialist workforce
Collect and analyse impact data and identify the need for training, development, or areas for continuous improvement
Provide professional practice guidance, resources and advice to schools, Areas and Regional workforces.

The role of the State-wide Practitioner will require strong practice knowledge, expertise and experience in inclusive education professional practices, and will draw from the latest research and evidence.
