About the role

Hiring at Officeworks right now is fun, busy and rewarding! We are looking for a passionate technical Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this important role will form part of our talented Talent Acquisition team and Support our Technology, Customer Experience and Digital functions within our National Store Support Centre.

Primarily, you will collaborate with Senior Leadership Team within your functions and Accompanying People & Capability Partners to support the teams sourcing and recruiting the best talent in the sector. Our team is focussed on a number of talent attraction related projects within the market and you will have an opportunity to lead these key projects as well as involvement in a number of other cross functional people projects including talent, learning & Development and onboarding.

In addition, you will:

  • Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies, events, and campaigns to create strong brand awareness in each function
  • Create strong relationships with your hiring managers, helping them to build their capability in recruitment and networking.
  • Manage external agency relationships, negotiate terms and support the contingent hiring process.
  • Use your exceptional talent sourcing technique to identify best talent in the market
  • Drives internal recruitment campaigns along side your People & Capability partner to see our internal career progression flourish.
About you

You’ll have extensive knowledge recruiting for technical roles in digital, start-up or e-commerce businesses, specifically across Dev and Product. You will be passionate about candidate experience and delivering a seamless recruitment experience for all applicants and hiring managers within the process. Further, you will be a gun at networking, with a huge passion for fostering great relationships across the sector.
  • Previous experience working in a high volume / fast paced recruitment environment
  • Experience partnering with Universities & Institutions on early careers hiring.
  • Strong calibration and innovation skills
  • You’re an excellent communicator and love finding the best hiring solutions for your stakeholders.
  • You’re naturally curious, happy to roll up your sleeves and managing multiple assignments concurrently.
  • A qualification in Human Resources or related discipline would be highly desirable
