Shine People Solutions is a small Aboriginal owned business, we assist companies to expand their Indigenous workforce and recruit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across all levels of business.

Our client is a Global Corporation who are committed to attracting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander professionals to work within their business and become part of their Indigenous Leadership Team. Through their extensive mentoring and career development programs, they are also focussed on developing their Indigenous employees into Key Leaders and Executives.

We are currently seeking applications from Indigenous candidates only for a Health & Safety Business Partner. The role is based in Perth with extensive travel to the Mining sites in the East Pilbara. Our client would also be open to candidates based in the Pilbara.

About the Role
This role is a critical role to the business and as such, we are seeking a highly experienced, credible and capable leader. Resilience, self-motivation and exceptional communication skills are essential for this role, as you will be required to interface with broad stakeholder groups, displaying credibility, building trust and influencing outcomes. You will be solution focused leader, level headed thinker and most importantly committed to driving positive outcomes for the business. Reporting to the Senior Health and Safety Business Partner - Pilbara Mining Operations, you will be required to:

Collaborate with, influence, support and coach operational leadership teams and lead a Health and Safety Team.
Lead and develop a team of superintendents and their direct reports to be trusted partners, supporting strong engagement and insights.
Work across the health and safety function to support the standardisation and simplification of systems and processes, and to leverage technical support from our central improvement and technical expertise teams.
Drive the development of Safety strategic plans, and lead communication and execution at multiple sites or divisional level.
Lead and support business wide health and safety improvement initiatives.
Support and conduct health and safety assurance and governance processes/activities.

About You

To succeed in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualified in health, safety, engineering or related field.
Extensive operational experience in the resource or related industry in a leadership role.
Health and Safety professional or passionate operational leader with history of strong health and safety performance.
Advanced communication, influencing and engagement skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage change.
