The Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our successful People & Safety team based in Darwin.

Reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will provide health and safety compliance advice to the operational management of our sites across the Northern Territory.

This role will be responsible for our Waste and Water sites and will also work closely with the National Health & Safety Manager’s across both lines of business.

As the Health & Safety Advisor, will support personnel to achieve safety excellence and maximise company safety performance through audit, engagement, training, investigation and continuous improvement. And in the long run, you’ll contribute to a sustainable future for Australia.

You’ll need:
Formal qualification in OH&S or extensive industry experience in a similar OH&S position
Certificate IV in workplace training and assessing (desired)
Experience implementing safety systems and working knowledge of Safety Management Systems
Experience related to risk and compliance management
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of risk management principles within a risk management framework
Demonstrated experience using Health & Safety skills within a Health & Safety team across heavy industry
Effective and demonstrated stakeholder management skills
Working knowledge and understanding of all relevant Safety legislation including Chain of Responsibility
Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to prepare written documentation and reports
A solution focused approach to problem solving
Auditing qualification and experience (Lead Auditor is desirable)
ICAM Investigator
Current Driver’s License
First Aid Certificate (desired)
