Our Opportunity

The Corporate Services Division is responsible for a range of core business functions that support the department to deliver on its priority policy objectives. The department has undergone numerous changes over a number of years including Machinery of Government changes, the provision of shared services to some micro and small agencies and the Royal Commissions.

This position works with other Human Resources (HR) professionals and the vendor to ensure the maintenance and ongoing development of Aurion is in line with established and emerging HR practices.

Within the Aurion Support team, the successful applicant will:

possess a high level of Aurion technical skills
provide Aurion system support and maintenance including incident and problem resolution, access and security, data maintenance, data integrity, quality assurance and systems integration tasks
contribute to the development and enhancement of the department’s Aurion system, including liaising with other HR professionals to interpret and implement legislated and internal changes
provide advice on the ability of Aurion to meet the changing HR needs of the department
provide second and third tier help desk services based on referral from the department’s HR Help Desk (HR Assist)
manage and undertake testing of Aurion system changes, including patching and upgrades, and implement these changes in line with HR and ICT requirements
assist and train senior staff in the use of Aurion
contribute to departmental projects, in particular, those that have an impact on Aurion and other HR teams.

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a high level of technical experience in the administration of the Aurion HR system to join our small team. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and client service skills and the ability to understand complex HR policies and requirements.

You will need to be forward focused, providing solutions that will meet the current and emerging needs of the department and the broader HR sector. You will need to enjoy working in a diverse and challenging role within a small team that is highly integrated with other teams and the broader corporate services environment.

Experience in Aurion system administration and support including but not limited to:

Running fortnightly pay runs and associated post pay run activities
Security user management
Aurion Query Tool (AQT) reporting
Forms and workflow management
Business Process Automation (BPA)
Position and organisation structure management
