The Corporate People Services Unit supports the Department of Education and Training's corporate workforce and provides consultancy services and client support in the areas of payroll and staff administration, recruitment and HR data analysis and reporting.
To be successful in this role you will be solution and client focused and can be relied on for your strong team oriented, influencing and diagnosing skills. Your capacity to establish and maintain productive and consultative relationships will be critical, as will the ability to ensure clients are able to make informed decisions on a range of HR related matters. These include, but are not limited to, workforce planning, recruitment and payroll solutions.
As a Business HR Business Partner, you will be expected to build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders, deliver outstanding customer service and exercise high level of negotiation and influencing skills.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter: ability to work autonomously as well as being part of a team.
  • Experience in delivering a range of HR services and advice including remuneration, performance management, case management, recruitment and reporting.
  • Experience in proactively identifying, advising and resolving complex issues.
  • Experience in negotiating with and influencing senior stakeholders through strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Capacity to set priorities and maintain constructive behaviours within a complex, busy and quickly changing environment.
